PROUDLY PRESENTED THE ONLINE PREMIERE OF
MY YEAR OF LIVING MINDFULLY
(May 27 – June 03, 2020)

FEATURING THE WORLD’S LEADING MINDFULNESS EXPERTS
Overwhelmed with insomnia and an incurable autoimmune disease, Shannon Harvey needed to make a change. But while the award-winning health journalist found plenty of recommendations on diet, sleep and exercise, when she looked for the equivalent of a 30-minute workout for her mental wellbeing, there was nothing.
Worried for the future mental health of her kids who were growing up amidst epidemics of stress, anxiety, depression and addiction, in a world-first experiment, Shannon recruited a team of scientists to put mindful meditation to the test. But after a 30,000 kilometre journey from the bright lights of Manhattan to the dusty refugee camps of the Middle East, what begins as a self-experiment, transforms into a life-changing experience.
My Year of Living Mindfully is filled with compelling stories, interviews with 18 leading scientists, and unexpected insights that go to the heart of what it means to be human in the twenty-first century.

THE ONLINE PREMIERE MIGHT BE OVER BUT YOU CAN STILL WATCH THE FIRST 15 MINUTES OF MY YEAR OF LIVING MINDFULLY FOR FREE

Traditionally, mindfulness meditation was taught in a spiritual context on a donation basis. The Openground MBSR program has sprung from this tradition, but is offered by qualified professional teachers as part of their work. For this reason, we charge course fees for our classes.
We’re committed to making the MBSR program accessible to as many people as possible, including those who genuinely can’t afford the full fee. To this end, we offer strongly discounted places and payment plans. Since its inception, Openground has given away 35% of potential income as discounted places.
Please contact us to enquire about discounted places. And keep in mind, that in order to continue offering such strong discounts, we also need to have places filled by people who are able to pay the full fee.
